Refraction- the bending of light as it passes through a material.
Refraction is when the image of an object appears to be different to where the object actually is. Refraction can be seen in water, like stated before (and shown in the image above), something appears to be somewhere else. Not where the object really is. This can also bee seen when light hits a prism. The angle of the light shoots in a different direction when it has passed through the prism because it has refracted. |

The wavelength of a surface changes how light is absorbed and repelled which then gives the illusion of colour. Red DOES NOT absorb red. Orange DOES NOT absorb orange. Yellow DOES NOT absorb yellow. Green DOES NOT absorb green. So on so fourth. |
